Education Workshops
Add extra value to a tour with wrap-around creative education workshop. By looking at the key themes of your performance, Contained Creatives can design and / or carry out the facilitation alongside your tour. We specialise in Theatre in Education (TiE).

Drama / Theatre

The Theatre Space
An introduction into theatre terminology in relation to space and surroundings. A creative education in learning the key terms of communication and roles within theatre and creative businesses provide a solid base to build upon.
Improv
Sometimes it's scary creating work without the blanket of a script. We ease the group into a supportive space to play and to feel safe to do things wrong.
Dance / Movement
Supportive facilitation ideal for groups or beginners at the start of their creative education. Based in Bicester, Oxford, Thame and surrounding areas.
Lifts and Elevation
Creating lifts can be a dangerous if not in safe hands. This masterclass is ideal for performers experimenting with creating their own natural flowing lifts in their pieces. Together we'll go though the three levels of lifting and supporting allowing you to learn the building blocks to develop your own elevations whilst adding a new discipline to your own creative education.
Ballroom and Latin American
This is a great class to boost a performers creative arsenal. Learn to glide through a waltz or deliver a rockin' jive to ensemble ballroom scenes or iconic dances.
Technical Theatre
An Introduction
How does a performance come together? Explore the roles within Theatre that make up a Production. We can tie our facilitation with your venue to include Back of House or we can bring examples of equipment to test and play with.
Lighting and Sound Operation
A favourite of Art Centres and Schools, we visit your premises ahead of the workshop to check set-up and equipment. We then cater our facilitation to your needs and create a "How to" Masterclass for your invited pupils / guests. Use our creative education skills to train and induct your next professionals.
